Utter Randomness

Here's 10 utterly random facts about me!
  1.  Head & Shoulders hurts my scalp! My skin is so sensitive that H&S actually gives me dandruff rather than help against it as advertised.... That shampoo is way too strong! My scalp feels like it's burning after a shower instead of the refreshing feeling you should be getting.
  2. I cried so much I threw up. When I was maybe 3 or 4, my parents put me in my room and locked the door, and banged on the door and I cried so hard (crocodile tears, of course), that I managed to throw up all over the door... I'm not sure if I dreamed this or not, but it's one of my earliest memories.
  3. I sort of have an allergy to hazelnuts. I only sometimes have a reaction. For example, Nutella makes my throat itch and gives me horrible stomach pains, but Kinder Bueno (Which has hazelnut cream in the middle) doesn't give me a reaction at all.
  4. I don't know how to make salad. I was never a big fan of veggies (ahem... hated them), so I never actually learned how to make salad until I started my new job. Now I can make a Caesar and an Oriental salad!
  5. I have funny thumbs. They look exactly like Megan Fox's... And yes, they work perfectly fine, and no, they do NOT look like toes!!!
  6. I've tried teaching myself Russian. I managed to learn the alphabet and a few words by myself, but I forgot most of it when I started studying German in university.
  7. I'm double-jointed. I can bend the first joint in my fingers without the second being bent (which freaks out of lot of people).
  8. I can't stand the smell or taste of coffee. It just grosses me out. Just. Yuck.
  9. I watch WAY too much TV. I've watched every season of Gossip Girl, 90210, Game of Thrones, One Tree Hill and Supernatural at least twice and How I Met Your Mother at least four times. That's not count all the other TV shows I can't remember off the top of my head.
  10. I haven't really ever been to the States. Well, I've been to Alaska, and spent a weekend in Fargo, but other than airport visits, namely Chicago and Houston, I've never spent any time in the States. I should plan some kind of road trip, right?!

Christmas Time!

We just put our Christmas tree up, though we haven't had time to decorate it yet, and I've done all my Christmas shopping! Now I can say the holiday season has officially begun! I just need to get on the Egg Nog train to top it all off!

How do you start your Christmas season?

30 Day Squat Challenge

December is always a month of laziness, stressing over exams, and overeating, so why not kickstart the New Year's resolution with the 30 Day Squat Challenge!

I did this in Germany and I actually received compliments at how much leaner my legs were so why not do it again! I haven't been exercising at all lately, so this will be a good way to restart a healthy lifestyle.
Not only will I be doing squats, I also decided to add crunches to the mix. Here's what my month will look like:

Ombré

Just because you're wearing a t-shirt, doesn't mean it can't be stylish, right? As I mentioned in previous posts, I did a lot of shopping in Germany, but I haven't really worn any of those clothes yet. This one is one of my favourite finds! It's hand-dyed and it goes great with anything (in my closet... which is easy to do)! I

30 Days of Writing

On November 1st, I started a very special challenge. NaNoWriMo, or National Novel Writing Month. The challenge is to write 50,000 words in 30 days. Originally, I thought I would never be able to do that! With school, work and my home life, November was hectic to say the least. Instead of doing a full marathon, I opted for a half, which I completed with great success!
I did it!!

In 30 days, I wrote 26,201 words, which equals to 42 pages, single-spaced on Word!
I've been working on a book since August and I managed to add 26,201 words to the project, bringing me to a total of 44,449 words!

I managed to write every day, whether it was 3,000 words or 100, and I plan on continuing throughout December to finish it! It was incredibly amazing to write and get sucked into this project. You open the word file and next thing you know, it's 3 hours later and you didn't notice time going by! It was so great to be creative like that! I would definitely recommend NaNoWriMo to everyone next year!
