"You weren't being over sensitive. He was being over asshole."

Girls, I have a problem and I believe this needs to be discussed a lot more.
We are constantly told that we, us girls, are always being over sensitive, that we're always making a big deal out of nothing and to "just calm down". I have a problem with this, because this isn't always the truth. Yes, we all have our moments (often because of PMS) where we go a little crazy and cry for no reason, but the majority of the time, we have every right to be "over sensitive."

Doesn't she just have the best quotes sometimes?

If your boyfriend cheated on you and you want to rip his head off, are you being over sensitive?
If your boyfriend has been ignoring you for the last few days and you're upset, are you being over sensitive?
If someone (friend or otherwise) has stood you up and you're angry, are you being over sensitive?
If someone insults you by accident (or on purpose) and it bothers you, are you being over sensitive?
If you watch The Notebook and wish you had a romance like that or even cried a little, are you being over sensitive?

NO.

You're just being a human being. Boys get "over sensitive" too, but we just say they're full of testosterone. How is that any different from us? We're human. We have feelings and we express them. It's what makes us who we are.

Yes, girls usually express their feelings more than guys, but that doesn't make us over sensitive. Sometimes he was just being over asshole.

Yet we take the blame.

We care. So what? Is it so wrong that we show that we care? I think the world would be a lot sadder if we all stopped showing others that we care about them, don't you think?

Girls, stop letting people tell you you're over sensitive. You have every right to be hurt, or happy, or pissed off when someone does something wrong to you. They were just being over asshole.

Halfie Update #1: Weeks 1-4

There it is! The first month of training done. That went by so insanely fast, I can't even believe it! I am three months away from running the Berlin Half-marathon!!

I have been extremely lucky, in that the temperature has been absolutely wonderful and it's only now getting to stupidly cold temperatures, and I do have to admit that I didn't run at all last week because I managed to get the flu, which kicked my butt so much harder than I could have expected. It gave me a nice little break during the holidays, and I'm ready to get back in gear!

This month, I've gotten new running gear, and re-learned how to run outside in the cold again. I haven't exactly been keeping up with my schedule, but I've been on holidays all month, and quite lazy... I have a lot to catch up on.

So far, I ran 26.77 miles (43.08km), and I honestly can't wait to run more! 82 days till Berlin!

Hello 2015!

Happy New Year's everyone! (I know I'm a little late with my post, but at least I'm writing something, right?)

Last year, my goals/predictions were:
By December 31, 2014,
I will have finished my final draft of my book and will have it sent out to agents.
I will have gone to Thailand.
I will have lost 20 pounds.
I will have had mostly A's in school.
I will have run a half marathon.
I will have written another book (first draft at least)
I will have read every book on my bookshelf that I haven't read yet. (There's 20 in total!) (I have read 20 books, just not all from said bookshelf)

Better than I expected, that's for sure! I guess I haven't been very active on the whole writing thing, but that's okay. It's been a busy year, and this year will be even more so.

2015, I have big, big plans for you. But before I talk about that, let's talk about last year's goals.
This year will be huge! By this time next year, I will have graduated university, ran my first full marathon and hopefully even moved out! I'm so excited for this new year and to see what it has in store for me.
By December 31, 2015,
I will have graduated university.
I will have read Lord of the Rings (for the first time, I might add).
I will have read 21 books.
I will have run a full marathon.
I will have moved out.
I will get out of debt.
I will be happy.

Happy New Year's everyone!
